DARE TO BE BRAVE

You manage the team dynamics, the Board’s expectations, and the physician relationships. How much longer can you carry it alone?

DARE to be BRAVE gives you the structure for the conversations you've been dreading, and the confidence to finally have them.

“The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place. For me, the key takeaway has been the importance of leading with clarity and listening with genuine intent. Those small adjustments have helped strengthen alignment and trust across our team.”

IT'S NOT COURAGE YOU'RE MISSING
Your team’s ceiling is set by what you’re willing to name out loud as their leader.

Clinic leaders are avoiding hard conversations because they lack a safe space to have them in.

Human Scaffold gives you the structure to make the hard conversations possible. The confidence that comes from knowing what to do with what comes back. The clarity to say the thing you’ve been meaning to, and the framework to hold the response without it becoming personal.

WHY DARE TO BE BRAVE

The quality of everything in your clinic flows from the quality of the conversations happening inside it

Why the same conflict keeps happening. Why the team meeting ends and nothing has changed. Why you leave the building carrying the same burden you brought in that morning.

Being a BRAVE leader isn't being fearless. It's deciding that what's on the other side of the honest conversation – a team that trusts each other, a culture where people say the thing instead of carrying it – is worth acting on, at last.

Hard conversations are worth it. And that with the right structure, they're finally possible.

How DARE to be BRAVE Works

01

Before the day: your team arrives prepared.

Before the programme begins, you’ll get pre-read documents tailored to your leaders’ context. Open the way for a day’s work that is grounded in your specific situation, with all its nuances.

02

Break the assumptions you've stopped seeing

The DARE scenarios (Decide, Assess, Resolve, Execute – a structured sequence that moves you from recognizing a pattern to acting on it) push you to think outside the norms you’ve built up over years of managing the same team.

03

Name what's getting in the way – precisely, and without blame

Your clinic leaders have been working around the same dynamics for years. The DIScomfortable Model gives those dynamics a name, and once they have one, they stop running the show.

04

Learn exactly how to lead each person on your team

The BRAVE Framework tailors to your leadership style and helps you ask better questions, navigate complexity, and move the conversation forward.

05

Communication frameworks you can use immediately

With your Board, your physicians, and your staff. Fit for the unique dynamics of medical clinics, where authority structures are often complex.

06

Make sure things change durably

Follow through with a structured commitment that keeps the learning active after the programme ends.

Every clinic leader is navigating tough, complex situations: governance pressures, physician relationships, workforce challenges, a board that wants results and a team that needs support. But most times, leaders are left solving these problems in isolation.

The BRAVE Framework gives you the tools and support to change that. To help you ask better questions, navigate complexity, and move the conversation forward.

I get asked this a lot

If you still have some questions, have a look at my FAQ

Is this for me as a leader, or for the whole leadership team?

It depends on your situation. DARE to be BRAVE is most often run for a single clinic leader or a small leadership group (2–4 people). It’s not a whole-team session, that’s what Team Synergy is for. Contact Mike to discuss which is the right starting point for your clinic.

Do I need to have done Team Synergy first?

DARE to be BRAVE and Team Synergy are parallel entry points. Many leaders find it useful to do both, but either can come first. Contact Mike to discuss which makes more sense for where you are right now.

What does the 3-month challenge involve for a leader?

A structured post-programme commitment built around the specific conversations and frameworks from your session. A specific set of actions, referenced against your CBCF roadmap and using the BRAVE framework, that keep the development active in your day-to-day.

What if I want to continue beyond the programme?

Many clinic leaders retain Mike on an ongoing basis – maintaining access to someone who understands their clinic, their team, and their leadership context when situations arise. Contact Mike to discuss what an ongoing relationship looks like.
